Has anyone else downloaded Vlingo? I just downloaded it, and I tried it, and I LOVE IT!!! I am excited to be able to text by voice while I'm driving!!! Let me know what you think of the app!
Oh, and if you have no idea what I'm talking about check this out...
It looks great. But one thing I wish it could do is take commands a step further. For example, in the video the guy asks vlingo to get him weather. But he still has to click search.
let me just say that i thought it was pretty cool........however, it made my phone really slow down! constant hour glasses and stuff. as soon as i deleted it, it was back to normal.....and i hardly have anything on my phone, so i just don't get it........
I dont know about you but i really dont trust those VLINGO's
Meaning what? I am somewhat cynical about such FREE applications? What are they getting out of me or my BB or my personal information? What privacy tradeoffs?
Maybe its because I, too, am from Da Bronx, well, formerly. I was born there many years ago and stayed through HS.
anyone else have problems connecting through EDGE??? wifi is just fine.. but as soon as i try to connect or try it out in EDGE, i get a network problem message... any ideas? BTW: running on 4.5 OS, have t-mobile, and i am using an 8320 Curve...
I ended up uninstalling the app. I was really looking forward to it but I was never able to get through the setup wizard. I get getting network time out errors.
I would like to see a command to reply to messages, as well as "send" "search" "close" or "end" etc...without those commands, I'm still looking at my BB while driving to click the trackball...
It looks like a great program. Will make it safer for me to text while driving, and it has so many great features. I want it to be able to work with T-mobile now though!
I installed it on my AT&T 8310, 4.5.0.37. Works great! I did a desktop install instead of OTA. I wish it would pick up speech through a bluetooth. Then, I'd get rid of VAD. But, for what it does offer, I replaced Jott with it. I really like how well it seems to take dictation for tests, web searches, and emails. Pretty cool.
