I just downloaded the most recent Viigo+ I'm having some problems with it. It keeps downloading old stuff from pervious few days...

Also, I need to go to all read and delete prior + then goto all unread and delte prior... Get everything deleted, b4 it was one step....

Any solution2these issues...

Hmm. I delete every night and have it set up to update 1x daily. Sometimes previous do come up but they are things I haven't read. Are you saying already read things are coming back?

Yeah, only not read come back. In the older version, nothing came...

The ones I don't read the 1st time around is casue I'm not interested in... Why would viigo bring back after we delete them...lol

I never had luck with Viigo on my 8220. I've been using FreeRange for a couple of months now and I've yet to have a issue. It also loads faster than Viigo.

BB Bob, I want to thank you. I love the whole idea of a reader like Viigo. I just wasn't having the best of luck with it all of the time. But I saw this post and decided to check out Freerange.

I absolutely love it!!!!

P.S. Anyone that likes Viigo but is having problems, I suggest at least checking Freerange out. It is lots faster and free just like Viigo.

go to options and application. Hit the BB button and clear the cache

earthshaker - I've seen it happen as well but with earlier Viigo versions as well. I don't always delete so for me I end up with duplicate entries (new and read old ones). I just noticed some duplicates with .439 in the overnight update.

It doesn't happen all the time, or on all the channels, so it seems a little random. I figured it was a sync issue between the BB client and the Viigo servers possibly due to their maintenance or adding more servers to their farm to keep up with demand.

You could try Options->App Settings->Save all on Exit:Yes, then exit Viigo (not just close to background), and restart. That might get things back in sync. I've just done the same thing so time will tell if the problem goes away.

My Viigo .439 seems to work fine it happens from time to time i get a duplicate but it s really rare

I've been using Viigo for some time and have had no problems. But, I have noticed from time to time reloading of older news stories. Seems like this happens whenever there is a version update. I couldn't figure it out at first, but I just received an update vs .439 and noticed older stories had been reloaded. Since I have had a couple of updates and app reloads I now realize that this has happened during each of those instances. Hope this helps.

No problems with Viigo here. It's still my favourite app.
@ BBB, I did check FreeRange, looks similer.
Always good to have options when apps for some people work fine and for others don't.

Kind of ironic, but I'm still getting the duplicates for CB blogs at times (not every day). NBD but if it was, the next thing to try is removing the channel, exiting the app, restarting, adding the channel, and doing the update.

Now that I've said it, guess I have to try it

That would explain it. I don't see the duplicates in other readers like google, but they may have some type of "only take the most recent update" filter in place.

I still have it installed, but almost never use it anymore. Now that Viigo has improved their sports standings and scores channels, Viigo has become almost a complete replacement for PE. They just need to make portfolio tracking customizable and a better movie listings channel than Fandango:Movies Near Me. For me, that would make PE complete useless. Viigo seems to be constantly in development (a good thing) whereas it doesn't appear PE has changed in at least the last couple of years.
