So my understanding is with our latest OS update we are now able to view emails older than 30 days as this was a huge annoyance, as of today I am only able to view 30 days back to the day. And this is the first time I really need to view something that is older and it is frustrating that I can't find it, steer me in the right direction, thanks.

What is your email client? I'm not near my phone now but I believe it's set to "Forever."

I remember something like..Delete email account and re add it and select Forever in advanced settings on set up.

Wait for further confirmation before doing this

You shouldn't have to delete it I think should be able to go to advance settings and click forever and then do a reboot

Before when I've accidently forgot to select forever after adding an account I've gone back and haven't found the advanced settings until I have deleted then started again.

For ActiveSync accounts, the retention period can be switched at any time under the advanced options (Outlook.com, Hotmail for example.)

IMAP accounts (Gmail free version) can't be changed once the account is set up. You'd have to delete and re-add the account, specifying the retention period under advanced options when setting it up again. The setting is called "Initial Retrieval".

Yes it is a Gmail account so I would change the setting on the phone and then delete the email account from the phone and then re add it correct??
