I got a Alltel Curve 8330 today before I left home this morning I started the transfer device wizard ( transferring from a Alltel Pearl 8130) when I got home I connected the Curve to the PC let the transfer process finish well it deleted everything from the Curve I mean everything then it tried to connect to the device for about a half hour and finally said it could not connect now my BB has a white screen with a big circle in the center with a line thru the middle and inside the circle is a box with a circle, square, and rectangle in it. Below the big circle it says 507. What happened? I didn't interrupt the process or anything and I've pulled the battery and still got the white screen. I also tried installing the handheld OS on the PC and was going to try and reload it but when I tried that DM would not detect the device.

I know it's just the jealousy talking, but see what happens when you rush to be the 1st to launch a phone.

You could try the steps outlined here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...ckberry-32322/

BTW, Error 507 means that there is no OS installed on the device. In theory, all you need to do is load the OS onto the device.

I'm telling ya there is something up with Vista because when I install the handheld OS on my PC DM will not detect the device anymore but it will on my wifes PC.

I'll keep that in mind when I get my new Curve. Sucks you had to go through it, but thanks for the heads up!

It isn't Vista i use Vista and have no problems. My daughter uses Vista with no problems also. I had one problem when i put 4.5.0.18 on my curve but that was because i was hooking the USB to my monitor's USB port when i switched the USB cable to the back on my tower it worked perfect.

Well it won't work on mine it did before but all of a sudden it won't work anymore I have to do everything on my wifes PC that is running XP. I tried to load that Aerize Card Loader app. on my Curve today and couldn't get it to load so I had to do it on my wifes PC. I'm going to try plugging into the back of my tower though I haven't tried that.

Well I tried plugging into the back of the tower and DM still will not detect my BB the PC is detecting it but not DM. What's weird about this is DM works (Detects Device) fine until I install the Device Software on the PC then DM will not detect the device.
