Just got off the phone with a Verizon sales rep. He says the Z30 will release November 14. It will be $149.99 w/a $50 mail in rebate that will bring the price down to $99.99. The off contract price will be $549.99. The wireless charging pad will be sold separately.

There's so many different price quotes floating around that my head is beginning to hurt. Maybe there will be two versions, who really knows. One thing that I do know is I will be glad when this beast drops so I can go get it. Either way, my money has been saved for a while now and I’m ready to purchase. Just release the freaking beast already.

If true that's a tremendous price point to launch at. Did you determine if they're actually selling in stores, or just online?

    Well that's two confirmed. Thanks!

Time to figure out how much my Z10 is worth, so I can get a Z30 at an off contract price I can afford.

Verizon has the Z10 for $300 retail now, so a used Z10 is soon not going to be worth very much.

Ok all.. I hope you're right. I have a few contacts at two different Verizon stores that usually let me know of leaked information and such.. This time both of them stated they haven't even had training yet and that it usually would have started by now if they are releasing it on November 14. They did say it was showing in the system, but had no release date or pricing with it. So they said it appears that it will be releasing soon, but they both think that the 14th is too soon. Again this was two different employees at two different stores.. One of them is the store manager too.

I hope they are wrong and you are right!!!

    Thanks all.

So I talked with a Verizon rep at my local store and he is going to help me get the Z30 at the subsidized price even though my contract is not up (Z10). (Of course when they release the device)

Our account has an iPad on it that I put on without a contract. They only give a $100 off the iPad's for adding them, which again is another ripoff.

Here is the steps as I understand them.

    1. Upgrade the iPad line to the Z30.
    2. Move the Z30 to my Z10 line.
    3. Change my iPad line back to the data only and put the iPad back on.

Now the only difference is that my iPad is stuck on a 2 year commitment at $10 a month. My understanding is that this method works with dumb phone lines too.

Have any of you done this before?

Heck if this works I have two more iPads on my account. New phone every year!

According to Verizon, it's going to be $199 and only online. But what would they know, right?

I spoke to someone on Saturday who would have the exact date and when I asked they said "next week ". That was Saturday so I assume we are in next week mode already. I did not ask for a specific date as I am in Canada and try to be polite while asking questions. I.E. If this person would have said an exact date I would share it but as I have no vested interest that is the best I could do!

You can't do this. As of 5 months ago you can only upgrade within the same device type. Tablet to tablet, home phone connect to home phone connect, phone (basic or smartphone) to phone.

You upgraded a tablet line to get a smartphone at a discounted rate? If you did then Verizon lied to their sales reps.

Thursday is the day. $200 is the price.

My big problem is that it will only be available online. I'd really like to get my hands on one.
