Still nothing in Philly. I don't believe we will see it today. Just sort of think a release like this lends itself to a morning push so tech support is available, even though Verizon BlackBerry tech support wouldn't know the difference between sneeze and a wet fart. I've lost faith...time to fire the Z30 back up.

    And, still nothing...

Maybe we should approach this differently... How about you post something if you're on Verizon and actually got the 10.2.1 update for your Q10? It would be encouraging to hear that at least someone is getting it!

No need. When Verizon releases the upgrade, 25 different threads will be started and this one will be ignored. Each thread will have a few hundred posts saying 'Downloading now" and a few hundred others asking if USB host works.

Q10/Verizon/NC. Well, here's my input. I had Verizon Rep on the live chat, and Blackberry customer service on the phone line. Blackberry customer service says that 10.2 is available, and the carriers decide when it rolls out to various devices. Verizon rep said that they(meaning those in his position) were not told of roll out dates because of the initial small sized roll outs to see if any problems with a particular device arises. He sees no update available and none to release. Told me that for my Q10 had the latest update. Go figure.

Sorry to see that you VzW Q10 owners apparently got stiffed (at least for now).

Makes me wonder if the VzW Z30 push date will also be proven wrong.

I had heard from several non Verizon or BlackBerry resources that it was supposed to roll out Feb 4 and now someone is saying that it may not be coming or may be coming in the next few weeks!

Without a doubt, if the Q10 is not supported in this update (and I don't care whose fault it is), I will be done with BlackBerry for good. I will not support a phone or company that allows this to become another no support Playbook fiasco.

Read somewhere on a forum that there were some issue with the Vzw Q10 update that caused it to be delayed. If that is true, then it could be delayed indefinitely (maybe). What I'm wondering is the following: if, as others report, the rogers update works seamlessly with our cdma Q10 from verizon, what then could possibly be so messed up with our update, considering that the rogers update has no issues... I'm just venting, but if anyone has more info (and I have no idea how they would), it would make waiting so much easier...

Verizon should at least have an announcement about why it is taking so long out... Staying silent on the issue only makes it seem like there is a possibility that future updates won't be supported for the device.

I'm fairly certain that the sim card in the phone has little (to absolutely nothing) to do with which update the phone receives. Verizon branded Q10's (or pretty much any carrier specific phone) will receive an update that is specifically made for that phone. This can include preloaded apps (e.g. Myverizon etc.) as well as other software tweaks due to carrier restrictions or legal issues (Canadian phones will remove the hotspot feature). Updates are matched based on serial numbers in the phone; not the sim card, or current wireless provider. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I wonder if the Q10 form screen size/ratio has anything to do with the delay. It appears that everything in 10.2.1 is set to go. Maybe Verizon had to revisit their bloatware apps to make sure they fit/work in the 720x720 screen area.

That, if true, would at least placate us and alleviate our frustration for waiting so long. Oh... just the knowledge that our beloved Vzw apps will be on hand and perfectly tailored for our devices. Makes it all worth it. Take your time Verizon and get this right!
