Has anyone heard when Verizon will be releasing their update ? It gets frustrating to see that another carrier has officialyly released their newest update but not a word from Verizon !

I keep checking for updates on my phone and going to the verizon website - it still has the old version listed as their most current update

An official release is not that important to me...Unless it's a later releasee than .122!

.113 failed verizons testing. they are testing .118 and .122 and one other OS at the moment.

Sounds like someone was listening when CX mentioned that in another thread. Noticed he DIDN'T say what the 3rd version was. I'm hoping for 146, I heard good things about it.

Kind of ironic for Verizon to fail an upgrade--especially with what the released the original Storm with....LOL.....guess I'll have to wait for the Storm2...that may get here before any upgrades for the original Storm !

yeah because god forbid we don't allow ANOTHER buggy OS release, right? we all love having pissed off customers. Be patient. We'll have an OS out to you as soon as we get one that can actually pass.

Verizon tests tests & retests before releasing information but there are "unofficial" releases on this very site

The unofficial releases are not supported and DO void the warranty.

Just reload the official if you need warranty work...like an OS could cause physical damage to a phone.

Well i am currently running on .113 and to me its smooth, with many people in this forum saying negative things about .122, i rather stick with .113 till Verizon get an official OS that solves the problems with .122 and improve a whole lot of things. i hope Verizon releases this asap because really honestly with the Niagara on the horizon ill give up on the storm and get get the Niagara, but the storm still has the potential on being a great phone unless Verizon and RIM get a move on.

    Don't give up just yet

Every new product has a high probability of being pretty buggy at first, give it a little time and you won't regret it.

Unless they pull an Apple on everyone and release a "new and improved" version in a few months that also happens to be cheaper...that would **** the **** out of every Storm user out there.
