Since I did a search and couldn't find what I needed,is using a unlocked blackberry(If I were to get a storm) easy as just putting in my ATT sim from my blackberry bold? And could I take that sim out and put it back in my bold if needed with no problems? Is there any steps needed to make everything work?
Yes, it really is that simple. Keep in mind your device PIN is attached to the device not your SIM, so you will get a new PIN number (BB Messenger contacts will not carry over).
Also, phone book contacts are, by default, stored on the device. The SIM card has the ability to store "simple contacts" (that is, one name attached to one number) but has a limit of 250 contacts. In your contacts menu, you can send a contact to SIM, and it will always stay with the SIM card.
You could also just sync your new BB to outlook to download all your contacts.
