Hey ya'll. I just got my blackberry curve 8330 on Monday after months and months of coveting. She's red :cool:
I just finished entering all my contacts and updating my calendar and I'm wondering there is a way, say if I have an appointment with my doctor, to go into the contacts folder, select the contact and then create an appointment from there?

I don't see a way to do it from the address book (although that is a great idea). You can create a new appointment and click the menu button to "Invite Attendees". That way, people in your address book can be added to an appointment.
Rexconnect, 3rd party, can do that. I was disappointed it was not part of the innate apps in the BB.
Nice app... but a bit pricy IMO!
I believe there are an addtocalendar and ontocalendar apps but I don't know if they work from the contacts or only from email messages.
I went for the rex because I used to have something similar on my hp200 palmtop and found it exasperating that I would call my doc or someone else and then have to copy paste line-by-line into the calendar. I just wanted it solved and threw $$ at it!!!
Thats a good idea. It would be nice if it was part of the OS.
I looked on their website, and maybe I'm missing something, but it says it's only $14.95US. Is that considered pricey for blackberry aps?
