Consumer BBM, the one not on BES, is easily spied on by law enforcement and BlackBerry even actively helps law enforcement to spy on their citizens.
And yes, this is all documented on paper.
A BlackBerry without BES isn't that much better than an Android or Apple.
BlackBerry does not have your privacy in mind. Read the terms of service.
And as was said before, the point of a BlackBerry was to monitor employees.
Monitoring employees is the exact opposite of providing privacy. Do I really have to explain that?
And to answer the boring question, of the why am I here....
Probably because my private phone is a BlackBerry, while my business phone is an HTC.
But there seems to be a pretty big difference between us:
I can have a BlackBerry, and keep the sense for reality. I can have a BlackBerry, yet appreciate the truth. And I can like BlackBerry, yet I can be critical of it.
Android Central? I don't even like Android. Actually, I'd probably never buy an Android from my own money willingly again (I'd land at iMore). But what I like even less than Android, are misinformed fanboys who spout misinformation.
Btw, you seem to be mistaken.
I am not trying to convince you. Convincing someone who has opinions so strong that he ignores facts, is a waste of time.
I am just correcting your misinformed posts.
As was said before, the stage of ignorance can only be left by ones own desire.
