Hey guys, working on a web page that is trying to detect blackberry models by the user agent string. I understand there are different browsers on blackberry devices: BlackBerry Browser (that goes through the corporate server) Internet Browser (that goes through the RIM server) WiFi and others. My question is, should they all report the same user agent? Right now I'm seeing things like:

    blackberry8330/etc/etc/etc

I want to know if these agent strings change depending in Internet Browser, Blackberry Browser/ WiFI etc.

    Thanks!

Also, are you on the BES by chance and can try that too? Blackberry browser vs Internet browser in this case.

    Sorry, only BIS here.

    5:53 - HotsPot Browser
    BlackBerry8520/5.0.0.411

    5:55 - Internet Browser
    BlackBerry8520/5.0.0.411

    5:56 - WAP Browser
    BlackBerry8310/4.5.0.182

Seems the string is the same for all of them. Hope it helps.

Hrm, but did you notice the last one reported 8310? Was that a mistake on your part or some possible error?

    Noo, It's ok!

I do have a 8310 without BIS here.
Quite handy for you, as I could test the WAP Browser.
