I've a monthly BB with Orange in the UK, and I don't want to stop service. However I'm due a free handset upgrade and I'd like a shiny new Android device to do some playing / testing with (I'm a mobile developer). Not to use as my account phone, not to replace the BB, but rather just to use the upgrade process to get my hands on a free device.
So I'm wondering whether it's possible to take an "upgrade" handset from Orange without it technically affecting my BB and BIS service? Obviously I wouldn't stick my SIM in the phone, I would likely put my Orange data SIM in there for data testing (not interested in using it for calls). Would they try to cancel the BIS option on the account perhaps.
Just wondered if anyone had been tempted to try this before...
