the usb port on my phone is broken. i got the phone from a friend...just wondering if i really need to spend the $90 to have it fixed?

I've searched google and found cheaper. I'm going to do mine myself but I wouldn't recomend anyone else to do it since its soldered right to the motherboard.

Unless you're used to soldering these types of components, I would recommend against trying this one yourself.
