BLACKBERRY LIMITED Smartphone BlackBerry - BlackBerry P'9983 / RHB121LW
Guess we have something to look for in the FCC.
Not listed (or publicly visible) through the FCC...yet.
But it looks like the North American bands-heavy SQW100-1 Passport is Indonesia certified too. So is there going to be only one GSM model now?
They've added it to the device file in the latest OS. There are also a couple more variants of Classic and Windermere, but it's probably something they're testing.
Still no signs of Classic and Khan of being anything else than repackaged Q10s (as in same components, not counting RAM and storage).
What about for the P9983?
That's Khan
ofutur and thurask, based off of the latest leak would you know if the Passport R134 Sprint variant is still in the works?
Oh right. I forgot. If by the 10.3.1 beta SDK, there are no changes to the Classic / Khan, I will have lost all hope for anything other than Q10 internals. Still interested though..lol
Anything in the builds about the Ontario?
So the "next gen BB10" lineup is shaping up to be
* No longer in production: Q5 (?), Q10, Z10, Z30 (?)
Keyboard Touch $$$ Passport . $$ Q20 Classic Z20? (Z3 NA LTE) $ . Z3
That's where I expect these to land as far as pricing also, based on specs. It would be great if they can keep the price of classic and the Z20 (that's what I'll call it for now) as low as possible, and then drop a full touch version of Passport in the Spring. One can hope...
So after digging through the files myself, I'm wondering if that is correct. While the Khan seems like a repackaged Q10, the Classic seems to be paired with the Z3/Z30 devices in the radio files as well as graphical assets. Could we see the S4 Pro in the Classic?

I spotted something interesting with the Setup app. There are four PNG format icons for it, each named after the respective device.
Attachment 292363
icon_A_Classic_Manitoba.png (Z30/Classic/Z3)
5" 16:9 (Classic - 3.5" 1:1)
104 x 104 px
icon_L.png (Z10)
4.2" 5:3
120 x 120 px
icon_N_R_Khan.png (Q10/Q5/P'9983)
3.1" 1:1
99 x 99 px
icon_W.png (Passport)
4.5" 1:1
156 x 156 px
The Classic's icon is paired with the Z30 and Z3 which have larger displays. This could just be due to the 720x720 display being stretched bigger from the Q10/Q5 and the compensation for the lower pixel density.
Thoughts?

Any clue as to what the radio file for the Passport is? There should be a 10.3.0.1053 file up on servers for it.

Lots of things missing in that Core OS, which means 1052 was created while they were transitioning to 10.3.1.
And here is the radio :). Seems like the Dev Alpha X was the dev device for Windermere
Good point. I've checked the radios and you're right, the Classic will have Z30 internals. Cool beans.
So a trackpad, a decent GPU and a stretched screen. Not too bad for $400.
And the Z20 is a Z30 without any extras to help Foxconn build'em cheap.
So no HDMI? And what other extras?
Posted via CB10
No HDMI, no NFC and probably not 4 microphones. They still want to sell some Z30s until the next touch (Q215)
Pfft I'm not waiting that long to upgrade. If they don't announce anything surrounding a full touch flagship then I'm going for the Passport.

That's great news, I love the performance of the Q10 so Classic sounds even better.
Interesting..

Off topic
But what's the difference between fuse and blend
is 3gb RAM still possible forClassic?
Yes but it's more probably 2GB

As 10.3 1 is delayed by a few weeks, they maybe have changed some things on the classic... one can only hope
Where did you get that info?
I'm impressed by how it installs and runs Android apps on 10.3, so I'm not even sure the extra power is required, but let's wait for all those comparative videos which will make their way to youtube once that thing launches.
