1440x1440 screen resolution is odd indeed
STW is a touch only device is it not
So how come it has a qwerty like resolution
Maybe because of this Booklet concept

Hehe... The difference being that it's only one screen and that the bottom one can be anything you want... Keyboard when you need it, scrapbook, gamepad, chat window while the top one is the presentation screen (webcast), etc.

It's your Filofax, more than your phone. Think fold-able galaxy note in terms of features.

I came across some new information and I think the line-up for this year was supposed to be:
    • Z10
    • Q10
    • Q5
    • Z5
    • Z30
    • P'9882

The AQ series was a runner up for the Z30 label, but it didn't perform as expected.
The Z5 (Caf) has either been cancelled or pushed back due to large amount of Z10s still in the warehouses.

For 2014, things look interesting as BlackBerry seems to be ready to introduce 2 new form factors. I could be wrong and one of them could be a new type of qwerty though...
    • Cheap qwerty (Kopi)
    • High end touch (Ontario?)
    • *NEW* Slider or different qwerty
    • *NEW* Square Booklet (Windermere)

I had 3 Communicators, so I am actually a fan of the form factor.
I also understood what this theoretical device would make different but it's hard for me to not only see it as a reinvention of what Nokia already did, paired with a Nintendo DS.

But thanks for going more into detail and I kind of think that this digital filofax has some potential.

I was right about the Z5 then...
There was a number of times where I said that the Z5 is a strategical necessity and that it would be very strange to not have such a phone.
So the Z10 is the new Z5.

The list for 2014 seems very interesting.
I wonder if they will finally market these devices correctly.

And wouldn't the Windmere need some serious landscape support?

Well, its 2 x 1440x720, so it could be that apps are only "allowed" to run in half the screen.

If you hold it vertically, you get your Hub with all your messages on the left and on the right, you're looking at some app.

There is something different about that model, so could be a tablet or a different form factor

10.2.1 is focused on Kopi, so nothing interesting about future devices, which are on a different platform...
