    Must be the best kept secret BlackBerry has ever kept. If we are really a week away, should there not be at least a host of other peripherals showing up....

    Alcatel hasn't produced any yet lol. And their best-kept secret remains the PlayBook. People are waiting on the new devices to be announced really at this point but the PlayBook just sort of appeared.

    Did finally see that the Idol 4 is coming to the US in August to go along with the preorders of the Idol 4S from last week... IF Alcatel is in fact the manufacture of BlackBerry's new all touches.

    It's only one of the prepaid carriers (Cricket Wireless - $199 no contract).

    Is there a CDMA variant?

    Becuase I think for BlackBerry to do enterprise business in the US, they need Verizon. But Alcatel doesn't seem to be worried about leaving out Verizon consumers....

    So far no variant with LTE 13. Verizon themselves are moving away from CDMA, so looking for band 13 may be a better check.

    Hm, "Model Name" for the STH100-2 is RJD211LW, while the FCC ID is L6ARLD210LW and not the expected L6ARJD210LW. I've got nothing.

    I think the model matching hasn't been matching FCC ID for some time. e.g. my Priv -1 has model RHK211LW, FCC ID is L6ARHK210LW. Same goes for the other variants, some have 181 in the model but FCC still says 210.

    No, that one is normal. For example, the Classic -3 and -5 have identical bands but camera/no camera, and have the models RHF141LW/RHF142LW, yet fall under the same FCC ID of L6ARHF140LW.

    Here's the Priv info, lifted out of the JSON database from those Python tools I waste my time on:

    "device": "PRIV",
    "family": "PRIV",

    Has to be. Or, just a guess, that it's the Rome, since STR100-x was taken by the stupid Leap already.

    RJE might be in the same family as RJD, or not. I miss digging through OS releases and discovering their roadmap.
    Rome wouldn't have STR, T = touch, would have Q instead. But then SQR is the Q5.

    I think he's saying there should be consistency between RJD and RLD. 211 and 210 is 'normal'

    Both are but one's a PKB = Q and other is VKB = T.

    Leap = Rio
    Q5 = Ranier

    At this point, I think it's safe to say BlackBerry has changed some of their naming logic. Using the word logic rather loosely.

    Also this:
    BBB100-1/2/3

    New model number naming sequence?
    And we also got BBA100-1/2. This is Argon. Wonder what's the new model no. naming sequence means! I think they're going alphabetically from now on going forward i.e BBA, BBB, BBC...and so on.

    I have the impression it'll stop at BBB...

    Anyway, DTEK 60, BBA100-1/2, probably NA/EMEA models like usual. It's already hit WiFi and GCF certifications, soon Bluetooth, and ultimately the FCC.

    So the BBA100-1 passed through FCC, And the ID is same as the model no. L6ABBA1001, it's new. They totally have changed their naming logic I guess.

    Finally.

    Just have to figure out autoloader naming syntax and we're set.
