Probably not. The Classic's rear camera looks like the usual BB10 setup, much smaller than what the Passport has. OIS requires more room around the lens for the hardware to move things around.

I figured it would require more space, but the Classic is bigger than the Q10. A friend that handled the Classic at the AGM said it felt thicker than the Q10 even. But I do see it being more of a marginal upgrade with specs closer to the Z30 at most.

Still hoping for some changes that aren't reflected in the OS.

Okay, new SDK, new thing to play with. So far:

    • Manitoba exists (720x1280 screen, Z30 radio, R146/R147)
    • Passport will have wireless charging
    • P9983 confirmed
    • Passport has ANX7808 Slimport transmitter
    • Passport probably has OIS
    • Passport keypad is probably backlit (why else would it have GLO?)

    Attachment 279943
    Attachment 279944
Still no sign of any touch flagship I guess...
Also please enlighten if all apps would be compatible with the passport?

CAUTION : MAJ On Z30 Now!!!!

I wonder how much the Z3 LTE will cost with the upgraded screen?
And I saw Ontario mentioned? That's a good sign

I wonder if Manitoba isn't just a Z30 refresh, made by Foxconn... The Z30 radio tells us it's not the old Ontario.

Regarding the wireless charging, I though that was the reason they were not showing the back, but then many current models can be charged wirelessly, so I don't see the novelty...

I don't get the P9983... they could have gone with a Porsche version of the classic instead of using the failed Q10 as the basis...

    I'll look for OIS

Yes, the Passport's keypad is backlit. (We could see it on the various pics and videos taken at the meeting)

I always thought that they would eventually bring another flagship full touch device. I mean if it was all about cost saving and being good in a niche keyboard market, why would they have decided to offer 10.3.1 for z30 and z10 as well? Maybe because in the long run another full touch device could make use of that development...?!

New 12MP Samsung S5K3L1 camera, only used for the development board.

Passport is going to use the 13MP Sony IMX 135, with a 2MP front camera
    Same config for Ontario.

Classic and Manitoba are going to use the 2013 config (Z10, Q10)
