Well, now that exFAT support is official, any way to isolate the URL for the drivers from looking through the OS?

That in the Dev OS? 10.3.0.442? In which case, an interesting hunt shall ensue.

    Blargh, Blargh! CB10 blargh.

Exactly. The only difference between Cafe and Jakarta is the screen size, screen resolution and battery. Everything else has been done before.
Hang on, isn't the Z3 called the Jakarta even though it's Cafe series ? I've seen BlackBerry refer to the Z3 as 'Jakarta'.
    Clarification please.

It isn't a Cafe series phone, just based on it.

You mean the Windows driver? Could be bundled in the CD which is shown when first connecting the device?

I meant the exFAT driver. Once you put in an exFAT card it tells you "Download the media driver blablabla", and until yesterday it would error out. I have the feeling that it's a bar file on BlackBerry's servers that gets downloaded, but I don't know which URL it downloads from.

Ah, have you tried to just get it from the OS repository using the proper version? Something like :
    http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...t-10.2.1.1.bar

I suspect the OS just asks an API for the URL and you'd be more successful just sniffing it

Smart move. That tech is brilliant.
Maybe LG has designed the mainboard... that's would explain the strange form factor as they specialise in unusual phones

I dunno, LG tends to do curvy everything, while Windermere is the diametric opposite of curvy.

No clue until we get a Q30 OS (i.e. nothing that installs on current devices). Then it's a matter of scaling.

Okay, so the ugly mofo is official now, and the 3.1" screen was just a placeholder.

Now, is the Z3 LTE Ivan or Manitoba? 8960 or 8930?

We need a newer OS. It will very surprising if Z3 LTE is the Manitoba because Manitoba haven't appeared in any OS builds.

BerryFlow is stating Manitoba = Z3 LTE. Let's hope not. BlackBerry needs a new full-touch by march 2015 at least..

We would have seen Manitoba in the various software switches used to load the proper drivers, instead I saw Ivan in some places, so let's wait and see if that names makes it into the scripts.

Let's take BlackBerry's device startegy and look at 2015...
We have two qwertys from late 2014 which will fill both spots.
We have one low end touch device, the Z3 LTE and we're missing one high end device to replace the Z30.

Which device will fill that spot?
A Foxconn built Ontario in Q2 or
    A BlackBerry built 64bit device in Q3?

Manitoba has been in testing for a while, so I'm thinking that's the name of the Foxconn device. The hardware platform for the 64bit device hasn't been finalized yet and thus isn't yet in carriers' databases.

Okay, new SDK, new thing to play with. So far:

    • Manitoba exists (720x1280 screen, Z30 radio, R146/R147)
    • Passport will have wireless charging
    • P9983 confirmed
    • Passport has ANX7808 Slimport transmitter
    • Passport probably has OIS
    • Passport keypad is probably backlit (why else would it have GLO?)

So does it still seem like the Manitoba is just the LTE Z3? Or maybe something new?

Definitely isn't a 1080p flagship full touch, so it's probably the LTE Z3.
