I asked them and they told me that they actually cannot say if and when bb10 will be offered.

I'm hoping to cancel AT&T and transfer my number to TMobile. The $50/mo for unlimited data appeals to me despite knowing that TMo doesn't get 4G everywhere, but WiFi is nearly everywhere I go.

@TheStoof I'm looking to do the same thing. I'm also considering their no contract deals dependent on the price of the Z10

So, take this with a grain of Salt. But I was talking to a few guys at Wind yesterday, and they "confirmed" that Wind will be getting the Z10, but that it might only land around April. Which is a big ouch because I've been with Wind for ages, and really wanted the Z10 at launch.

They also added that apparently Jan. 30th was just going to be an announcement date, followed by a release in Europe and Asia, and (at least Canada) should be getting it after.

Again, this might mean nothing, might be misinformation, rumours, or something someone made up. It could be completely innacurate, so don't take it seriously. It's nothing more than a rumour for now.

I certainly hope it's wrong and Wind has the Z10 at launch.

I am wondering about this too.

I was in a local T-Mobile USA store last weekend and I inquired about BB10. Of course the retail clerk knew nothing of it and quipped- "BB has been way behind the times". Now I know that statement is par for the course (and true btw) for most of these retail sales people but I wonder WHEN TMO corporate is going to get the word out to their retail staff on BB10 ??

I visited the Vodafone store (uk) today. They said the store will be full with people & queue's outside the first day BB10 is available & that soon, they will be getting the plastic (dummy) BB10's in.

For anyone like me who is with Vodafone uk & wishing to upgrade early, we have to pay the rest of our contracts off entirely first. For me, it will be 12 months early.

Well, no one has OFFICIALLY announced anything. It may not be officially announced until Jan 30. My guess is that they'll have each rep come out and announce their release dates.

I'm trying to get a beat on the actual release date of the devices to the public. If an alleged carrier (TMO-USA) is not even talking it up amongst their retail sales force yet does this forewarn of a really big gap between the press conference date and date we will have BB10 in our greasy little palms? Just asking.

Well, after the radio frequencies on the z10 were announced it seems RIM isn't going to give Australia any love at all. Both major networks here use the 1800 MHz range for LTE. The z10 doesn't do that frequency. So, the Z10 will be crippled here. Damn.
On the FCC document, it mentioned that the phone would be operational on the 1800 MHz band but they didn't have a phone to test it

It could land in April. The Bold 9900 was released in August and landed at Wind in around November. The only reason Wind should release the Z10 in April should be if they are planning on activating their LTE network and want to launch a phone along with it.

is there any documentation to Wind Mobile Canada confirming it is in Carrier testing?
You can take it with a grain of salt but a friend who works at wind and does testing for the phones told me. I texted him to make sure Wind is getting it and told me they are currently testing it.
