If only they had better coverage. They have great rates, assuming you never go outside of your area.

Woot!!!! If that is true, I am sooo ditching Rogers come next summer when my Prepaid money expires and switching to Wind!!

Their coverage may not be great, but with my Blackberry phone, I'd expect exceptional coverage.

You'll get the same coverage with the new BB's than other phones. Wind's coverage area, the area in which their rates apply, is extremely limited. If you are from the GTA, for example, and don't plan on going anywhere else, then it can be great. For me, being in Kitchener, even if I go to a small town 15 minutes away, I'd have to pay roaming fees. If I go to my cottage, or a friends cottage, or camping etc... there would be some hefty fees. Until they expand their network further, for many, they are not a cost effective and viable option.

Not yet. Which sucks, that's who I'm with. I wouldn't feel bad switching from them to get the new phone. Should let them. Know.

I was going to pay full price for BB10, then spoke to Vodafone. They said an early upgrade fee (for me is 12 months early) would be 211 + vat which is fantastic.

Can't wait and hopefully there will be pre orders or at least news of pre orders on Jan 1 with Vodafone.

True but BBM and BBM Voice does open up some options for the limited coverage carriers.. As they will work with your roaming shut off! on wifi of course.
Heck just a reminder, BBM Voice works even without a SIM card.

Well, after the radio frequencies on the z10 were announced it seems RIM isn't going to give Australia any love at all. Both major networks here use the 1800 MHz range for LTE. The z10 doesn't do that frequency. So, the Z10 will be crippled here. Damn.

Problems? You don't know, but apparently now its fact...

Please tell me I'm mis-reading the available LTE radio frequencies on the Z10. Both the major networks here in Australia use the 1800 MHz band. It's not on the FCC spec sheet.

RIM is seriously going to try and release this phone without the 1800 MHz band? The most popular LTE band in the world?

I can't believe they would do that. Someone set me straight!
