I have a undate but I cant find where it is? Its a circle with an arrow in it pointing down to the left with a new (msg/upgrade) icon with it. I tried looking everywhere on my storm and cant seem to find it it's driving me crazy. tried doing softreset after softreset and still same thing. please help

Sounds like an update message from app world. The only way to get rid of it is to open appworld and check if one is ready for an app you have installed. I dont think that you have to download it, but you have to check to get rid of the notice.

Thats for your appworld.. u have a update for one of ur apps u downloaded.. also once ur done upadating the icon will still appear. U have to go into you messages app and delete the update reminder msg from there also.
