Last night I had Desktop Manager open, and I was moving some pictures.
After I was done with that, I checked my memory status.
It was a bit low, around 20MB I believe, so I did a battery pull.
From that moment on, it seems as though my memory won't go above 23-24MB.
    I usually sit at 27-28MB.
I didn't add anything to my phone, so I have no idea where this memory is going.
I have deleted call logs, messages, and some memos.
I have done several battery pulls and soft resets.
    Nothing is affecting the memory.
Anyone have a clue as to what the problem might be?

    That is strange indeed.

Fortunatly, it is nothing to be concerned about, you still have plenty of memory in reserve for normal operation.

I know that I have plenty of memory,
but I would like to know why it suddenly disappeared and I would like it back.

This is probably too obvious, but is there any chance that while you were moving pictures around, some of them ended up on the device instead of your memory card?

No. Unfortunately that's not the case either.
All my pictures are in their place on the media card.

It is quite bothersome that no one knows what might be the problem with this.
Its not as if memory just up and goes missing with no new apps or themes on the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are you database sizes? On the status page go to menu and you can check them

    Total Database Sizes 7040.6K.
I have no idea what that means.
But if that's somehow the problem, do tell.

    This is unbelievably frustrating.
I was thinking about wiping the phone and then restoring it.
I'm not certain that would help, but perhaps it's worth a try.

I did Stoners memory optimization months ago,
if I wipe the phone, then restore it will I have to go and remove things again?

    Try these three things

    1) Type ALT+LGLG, press menu and then clear log.

    2) Open DM, connect phone, go to Backup/Restore and then
Advanced. Highlight Browser Data cache and select clear

    3) In the same windows highlight Content Store and again
    select clear.

Disconnect phone and check memory. Do a battery pull
    and then check it again

When I clear Contents Stored it stays at 29. (It was at 40.)
    Not sure if that's normal...

    I did all three things.
    Still staying around 23MB.

I just went back and looked at your D/base size and it seems
rather large. That is about 7mb.

Can you go back and look at your database sizes again and
post what the 5 largest are. Just curious

Good LAWD girl!!! Do you ever delete your picture messages
That is 6.5mb. Maybe save that content to your card and delete
    them from your phone

    But I do!
I tried deleting some texts when I noticed it was low.
I usually try and only keep 5 days worth of texts at a time.

I didn't know MMS specifically took up that much memory.
I'll go through and see if it makes a difference.

Backup your phone first. And don't go nuts. Maybe four or five
to start and then continue until you hit your target

But yeah depending on what the MMS
contains they can sometimes take up a lot of room.

Ok. So right now I have six days worth of SMS Messages.
    No MMS.
And now it's sitting around 24MB.

    MMS Database Size 8/1810.4K

    What's this mean?

There might be a few sent MMS.
But all the received I have deleted.

EDIT: Deleted every MMS Message, still around 24MB.

Did you do a reboot of the device afterwards? If not you
    should.

Yeah I know you are sick of the battery pulling.

Not this seems silly, what exactly is a reboot? How dumb.

I did do a soft reset after deleting the MMS Messages.

Not silly at all. Without turning your phone off, take out the
battery and leave it out for 30-60 seconds. (Hard reset or battery pull)

Put it back and then check your memory

Oh, I didn't know that a "reboot" was another way of saying battery pull.

    And WOAH!

    Suddenly at 29MB.

Thank you AG. I bow down to someone who should be a Mod.

    I like your spicy.

    Thanks again.
