Sometimes development units can be an interesting collectable but not this, it looks like it's what became the Q5 to me with the "chicklet" keyboard and the styling is so similar. I'm a tech collector and I see nothing in this that would actually make it collectable or desirable. I have a few development units in my collection, what makes them collectable are the designs bore no relationship to anything on the market or due to be released in that time, and/or they're technically unique. I'm guessing the person who bought this isn't necessarily a collector but rather someone who wanted something reasonably unique and fun. I'd say the collectable price of a Kobi is really closer to $100 and the seller was extremely lucky to get $500, there's just nothing unique about it to make it worth more, even the eval decals have been removed it seems.
I pity the fool that ignored the NDA. I bet Chen bought it and is just waiting to open it up and find out who was assigned to it..... an example will be made! ;)

The device in the picture looks to be low end and definitely not worth the $500 that is being asked for it. It's most likely the first iteration of what eventually became the Q5.

The Kopi was actually going to get released after the Q5.
It had an all touch screen equivalent called Cafe.
But both got cancelled and the Z3 is like a spiritual successor to the cancelled touch.
