Hi all, I am new to Blackberry. I just got my Blackberry Bold from Three UK. I tried connecting my Blackberry to my home wireless network and it simply will not let me connect. I get an error message that reads "Failed to obtain an IP address". Imagine my dismay when it connected very easily to my 3g network from my network service provider, Three UK. Now i know a lot of people have had this problem before but could someone please explain in plain english without any jargon how i can correct this???? I have tried almost everything on these forums, including the Host table thing, changing the browser setting, i even reset the bold to its factory settings

    Please help

What kind of router is it and what kind of security pass key does it use?

And you also need to send service books from your BIS. Login to the e-mail setup icon on your phone and you can do it from there.

i had the same problem on my home wifi (DI-524). switching to WPA from WEP ended up being the fix. i also manually keyed in the IP addy, subnet mask, etc.
