- I recently bought a Jawbone Prime to use with my Curve 8900.
It works well, except that when I tried to use it at home (where I make calls via UMA), my calls would fail almost immediately, and my UMA connection would drop.
Hunting for a solution on the interweb, I found reports of this kind of problem from some time ago with various models.
I started preparations to flash my router to try some open source firmware, then wondered if I could set my BB to BlueTooth 1.5 (since various reports said that older headsets worked when new ones don't).
No such setting, but I did find "BlueTooth Coexistence" in the WiFi 802.11 Engineering Screens.
Changing the SG mode from SG_Sense_No_Activity to SG_Disable seems to have made a huge difference. Although I haven't made more than a few dozen calls, my bluetooth+UMA calls have gone from 100% failure to 100% success.
However, there is a decline in audio quality, perhaps someone can find a better combination of settings?12-08-09 01:18 AMLike 0
