Wow, just saw the ubuntu phone keynote video on ubuntu.com

Almost sounded like a BB10 keynote...a few similarities between them...like using only ur thumb to do stuff, quick access to most everything etc...

But the quote that resonated with me was "...it will change the status quo." This is exactly what BB10 will do I believe...only 2 weeks away...I think the timing couldn't be better.

By the time Ubuntu phone comes out, they'll have to play catch up to BB10!

There have been a couple of threads, and while they are interesting, they have an uphill battle to try and gain some traction, especially if BB 10 fulfills the promise of a new day.

Agreed, I just found it a little funny hearing the keynote...seems RIM was already way ahead and had been talking about some of these features for awhile now.

RIM is in a good place right now...looking forward to the release of BB10 and trying it out.

I think that it will still suffer issues of Android (and BBOS for that matter) with slow carrier rollout of updates, and updates having to be thoroughly tested because of the Monolithic nature of the kernel and the radio stack. BB10 is going to be awesome.
