    There is another thread for this topic. But OP, I agree. Apple definitely has it's work cut out for them to fix these latest security issues. I'm wondering if this may impact the USAF decision to go all ios.

    Actually the USAF never claimed BB wasn't "secure" enough.

    Didn't even have to open the thread to know what this is about. The fact is that this flaw isn't an issue when it comes to picking a smartphone system for the vast majority of people. Face it, you simply aren't going to get much mileage from this other than new forum threads.

    What will it take for people to understand that when you're dealing with sensitive information like the air force or the DOD that you need security and with apple the whole security thing is obviously not there. I hate to say this but it will take a security breach that came through an iPhone to make people understand that security is very very important. Just my opinion.

    I think it will take a devastating result - lives, maybe many, lost will prompt a review of security but from what I can tell as an uneducated, non-expert, layman the USAF and other groups appear to be cavalier regarding security if they're moving away from BB.

    True, but this is for the USAF that we are talking about. I would assume that they would like to ensure that their smartphones are secure. Especially for sensitive communications.
