    I'm testing a new bb nextel 8350i.

    It's enterprise password enabled.

One thing is bugging me that if someone beeps me through two-way radio, I have only five seconda to answer back or the screen gets locked/off and than i have to unlock the phone before i can answer back,

Same thing when unlocing the phone, i have 5 sec to start typing password or the screen goes blank.

Does anyone know if i can change this time out setting either on the phone or on bes.

    Thanks,

Do you have it set to auto lock? Or it may be something you can ask your IT guys.

Auto lock is disabled on the device.
I've checked everyhing on the device, password and screen settings.
I'm assuming it must be on BEs side since all password policies are coming from there.
My IT guy can't find it.

I would call the carrier and ask if the auto lock for Ptt is a feature that can be disabled. When I had Ptt with Nextel it wasn't a bb, but I did notice if I didn't respond in time the other party had to be alerted again. Check your Ptt/Network settings. Or just call your carrier and ask.

actually I was mistaken, I cant' find auto lock option on the device.
There is an option for Auto on/off.
Do you know if auto lock option will be on BES?

Is there an app for two way transmissions or is it only certain devices which have this capability?

It's actually the "Lock when holstered" option. It's not in a holster with a magnet when it happens is it?

Check Menu/Options/Password. I'm not sure cause I don't have a password but, what's the Security time out set to?
