I tried the two thumb typing approach but I find it uncomfortable and limiting. I prefer to solidly grip the device in my left hand and use the index and middle finger of my right hand to type. It's fast like double thumb typing but easier to access different parts of a large screen and much much more comfortable and secure to hold. How does everyone here type on their blackberty Z10?

I have to say I'm typing almost exclusively with one hand at the moment and I'm not sure about the move to the Q for that reason.
I hold it in my right hand, all typing with the right thumb, lots of swiping up.

That's how my wife likes to type on her Z10 mostly. I find it not as accurate. Even more so for flicking words.
It's especially more difficult if you're moving, like walking around or riding in a car. (As the passenger!)

Sometimes I type with 1 thumb instead of both, and I do sometimes use forefinger too like you. Gotta keep it fresh!

Too slow for me. Two thumb typing is the only way for me.

I still use two thumb typing when both hands are free. But with my newborn baby girl, I often only have one hand free and use one hand, and it works great.

I use both two handed and one handed.

It really depends on what I feel like and what I am doing.

Usually it's with one hand because it's just more convenient, but I can type without looking at the keyboard when typing with two hands.

I only use my thumbs. Doesn't matter if I am using it one handed or two handed. I type much faster using thumbs. I use thumb typing and flow on my Android device as well.

Two thumbs, preferably in landscape. I'll do portrait if I don't need to type out a long reply.

One thumb only movement is the way to go. Typing with two hands has become a thing of the Past!

I type with my index fingers with my phone in landscape sometimes on my iphone. I was personally way faster on the 9900 but I've seen people who are really good at it. Once I get the Z10 I could see myself being a one thumb-one hand typer.

I've been a physical keyboard BlackBerry user for too many years... two hands is how I've been typing, usually in portrait mode.

PS. did you know you can type in landscape mode in BBM only when you access it through the Hub (and not by clicking the BBM icon in the main app grid)?

I find no problem in typing by both thumbs. It is quite smooth and faster too. To me, typing from one hand fingers, very inconveinet and sluggish.

    I've said this before...

Two hand typing is the best option if both hands are free, but if they aren't I have found that the Z10 allows one hand typing to approach the speed and accuracy of two hands as near as possible. I'm a 'sideways typer ' as well and if I can do so I switch to horizontal typing and the Z10 fits my hand perfect for that.

Two thumbs for me since the z10 is the first touchscreen phone that can actually do this properly for me. Iphone is too small and my Droid razr just did not feel comfortable doing it. BlackBerry has achieved what I thought was not possible.

I constantly switch between different typing styles. I'll hold the phone in my left hand and type with my right, I'll hold it in just my right hand and flick words with my right thumb, and sometimes type with both thumbs (especially in landscape).

I'm still using two thumbs, but those times when only one thumb is available I find it much easier to type with the Z10 than my previous devices.

it really all depends for me if I am in a hurry then I will use two thumbs but if I am sending a smaller message I will knock it out using the one thumb and swiping method.
