I have recently seen a Z10 in White Collar, and a Q10 in Scandal. How about you?

P.S. Does this mean bb10 phones are catching on or is it just incidental; do the actors just simply prefer blackberry phones?

It's probably product placement. Companies/brands pay their way into TV and movies. It's a way of advertising during the show, it's PVR proof that way. I noticed that "Under the Dome" had all Microsoft tablets and phones.

    This.

Yes it's cool, I get excited when I see a BlackBerry on my favorite shows too.. but It has nothing to do with what the actors or anyone else prefer. It's bought and paid for by BlackBerry.

It's not 'probably' it's definite, although the show writers / producers have a say in the kinds of brands and products shown, there is always a payment or agreement involved. In fact I think BlackBerry should focus on this kind of advertising with shows like Newsroom and Veep etc in order to counteract the perception that they're 'going bankrupt'.

Just saw the z10 on white collar. When Neil picked up the phone one time, it was on the blue blackberry boot screen.... then he sent a text..... Lol

Another time he got a call and I'm sure I saw him tap the screen to answer, didn't pull down. Hehe.

Microsoft does the same with Hawaii Five-0 as well. Apple has product placement in many shows (all those Macs and iPads aren't accidents). And Samsung has recently been doing it.

Most "Washington DC" shows like Homeland have a lot of BBs since it's well-known that (until very recently) BBs have been the standard government-issue phone. I also see them carried by lawyers in many shows, and BBs were all over shows like Entourage, back when they were riding high.

They are stuck with windows phones because they are under the dome... as soon as they'll go outside they'll switch to BB10 for sure

I think BlackBerry phones are still relatively likely to be seen in the hands of lawyers and politicians. This comes from first hand experience. I'm currently in law school.

Negatory, unfortunately. That was an unnamed qwerty phone and the HTC one.

On the newsroom, almost everyone has a bb (legacy). Maggie's roommate/friend uses iphone. Everyone else a BlackBerry. On an ep they specifically mention BlackBerry. It doesn't look like product placement, rather just realism.

There are too many shows with MS Windows phone or tablet product placement. It's actually better (in my say so) if it's about realism instead. I'm a big fan of nokia phones etc but I still can't stand it when they have it on castle and elementary.

I just saw it in Covert Affairs. An eps two weeks ago. The guy pressed the top button to unlock screen instead of just swiping up. He got stabbed so probably in shock as part of the plot. Lol
