I cant seem to get the wifi on my phone turned off. The symbol is still present under my reception bar. I tried everything I could find to turn it off...please help. Thanks in advance.

Go to Manage Connections, the icon that's an antenna, and uncheck the WiFi option.

Done.

If that doesn't work then you should try doing a battery pull

Thanks guys that did the trick. I was looking in Options>WiFi Connections so there was the problem.
