I have heard that it is possible to turn off the off mode that comes in automatically when bb is running low on battery

I know what you're talking about...but i don't think it's possible because no phone can work on low bat. Blackberry like any other PDA turn off the radio to keep the PDA features working until you charge it again.

I don't think you can change the setting where it turns off the signal when the battery gets too low. If that's what your talking about.
