Hey all,

I'm trying to download this awesome 8900 theme and the only way is to OTA download it.

I click the 4.5 link, but nothing happens except the window comes up as if it's going to download a regular file.

You need to install the OTA file to your phone. Then, once it is loaded, you will run that similar as an application, which will download the theme OTA.

Sorry for the ignorant/noobie questions, but how do i install the OTA file to my phone?

I think its the .jad extension, you will have to use the application loader in Desktop Manager.

I just tried doing that in DM, but i got a notification on my computer that says, "Error in application information file. and then it says "There is an XML syntax error in line 1."

Humm, I haven't run into that problem before.

What OS are you running on the curve? Most of the themes require a 4.5.X OS.

I'm running 4.5.0.77

You should be able to click the link in that thread and be directed to the download page. Then just click the download button. It will download automatically to your device. Then go to options-themes and click on the theme to turn it on. It is an OTA download. You won't need DM.

Thanks alot. That theme is pretty nice. However, can you customize the fonts? I don't like the fonts when you hit the BB key when you want to move an icon and do similar functions.

I keep going through themes and downloading them and taking them off and my device keeps booting down and booting up upon the uninstall of the theme. I've done it alot tonight, is that bad for the BB?
