I heard the governments are 20 years or more ahead of us in technology. This must mean they are using the new Blackberries that we do not know about?!?!
NOBODY HIDES THAT FROM ME! *Hyperventilates* Omg I need to find out ALL about it. Please somebody help me. I can't believe the government would keep such a thing from us Crackberry addicts D= *Faints*
There would be no way they would be possibly using newer BB than whats in the market, cause if they were RIM would release the technology into the market to generate more revenue and compete with Apple and Android face to face.
Only thing I know thats different from whats in the market is the BarackBerry for Obama himself to use while president which is amost virtually unhackable
Obama's pda is not a Blackberry its called the Sectera Edge. It was developed by the NSA.

That's what they want him to use, but he still carries his trusty bb.
I'm sure we have secret research people working on next-gen technology, but this type of stuff may never make it's way to the public. And you'll never know about 99% of it.
I heard the only reason he even wanted to be president was to get access to the BB that was recovered from the Roswell crash site! I think is like the storm 4. (which of course is what the storm 2 should have been)

here's what the NSA supplied smartphone looks like.
the President still has his own Blackberry, but the White House categorically denies his use of his BB ( for security reasons)
guess what, you can pick the same Blackberry that the President has in your nearest mall.
as for the Sectera, you can also get one for rougly $3,000.

Ha! Embarrasing to admit, but for the majority of cases that is true.
On the Sectera, you can pick one up but you have to obtain approval and go to specific training to activate it. Battery sucks and it's insanely heavy as well as ugly as sin.

Omg I love this thing!!! I wonder if it comes with Duck Hunt?
One other note in order to buy one you must have a goverment security clearance. You must also hate yourself cause this thing runs windows. Seems pretty cool but I'll pass on a windows phone.

No it doesn't. What makes you think any government has to work with a tech company that people are aware of?

The military is on average about 10+ years ahead of what you actually hear, see or even know about. If you can google search it, consider it old news. The only parts of the government that are well ahead of the curve are DARPA (the bleeding edge of tech), the NSA, and military contractors like Lockheed Martin.
These aforementioned companies use the same old regular Blackberrys as consumers do, so they arent getting any special new devices just for them.

Yup the Stealth Fighter and Bombers came from the 70's along with the HMMWV (i.e. Humvee). Not to mention the Blackbird (SR71 I think) was around way before that. Those 4 things and some other crap are just mind boggling.
Because the government has access to alien Technology. Area 51. Since I'm working for Uncle Sam I get a very special 9800. Mine has a phaser which I always have set to Stun! I can also call the mother ship. And everytime I say beam me up Scotty, I get back to the base instantly.
