I'm having a problem with my curve where I go to make a call- it says "connected" but I dont hear anything! The person on the other side of the line hears me saying, "hello! hello! hello!" so i have to flip the battery out and reset it to get it to work again. I went to verizon store but they werent helpful...

    any ideas?

Sounds like maybe a speaker issue except you say a battery pull fixes it... Do you have insurance or are you still under warranty??

Are you calling over Wifi or network?

My wifi calls blow fat monkey balls. But my wireless router sucks, so I know that's my problem. I get dropped calls and have to turn off WiFi and I'm golden.

Do you possibly have a bluetooth headset paired to your phobe that you aren't aware of? This sounds like what's happened to me when I make a call and forget that the headset's on.

I thought of that too (god knows it's happened to me), but then the caller wouldn't be able to hear her/him ...

Have you received any MMS's? if so, known issue with the Curve and VZW(maybe other carriers as well.) I don't get many MMS's, so no big issue for me. If you get a lot of them, then you can do a battery pull or try activating voice dialing and then turning it off.
Also, you can try upgrading your OS. Some say this has cured the issue on their Curve's.
    Regards,
    Jay

Verizon should be able to exchange it for you. I'd just let them know you love the phone but that you want to exchange it for a different one
