The same thing happened to me when I turned it on yesterday on the way home from work - It would not find my location either. I did a battery pull before I put my phone on the charger when I went to bed.

This morning on the way to work I decided to give it one more try before I deleted it.

It found my location and ran flawlessly for my 35 minute commute, announcing traps, cameras, etc.
I had permissions set to allow all when it was installed.

Yup. I had this problem yesterday, too. I think I got it to work again by quitting, turning my phone off (not a battery pull), and then turning it on and running Trapster. It took a little longer to open the app; but it found my location and all was well.

Not a lot of data input around here; but this will come in handy once I move to the DFW metroplex.

I tried restarting and everything. Still nothing.

Are you trying to use your internal GPS? On a Verizon 8330? AFAIK it will only work with BBMaps unless you pay for the Verizon Telenav product.

VZ blocks the app, the only app they allow that I know of is the BB maps

I think it was only for the Storm. I have the same phone as you and I can only use BB Maps. Unfortunate but true.
