Hey All,
I recently got the new 9800, can I transfer apps between phones? Also data like info in the Password Keeper?

I tried hooking both phones to my pc while in BB desktop, but the only thing that transfered were ring tones.

Old BB is 8900 New 9800 don't know if this matters.

i had the same problem

you need the newest desktop manager. It can't be the old one.
Once i updated, all my apps transferred over.

I would recommend if doing the apps that you do 1 at a time to see if they will even run. As for the activation keys, keep a copy of any keys you have right now and then ask to be switched over to the PIN # if needed. Reboot the phone after each is transfered to see if the phone boots with the app installed.
