How do i transfer my email from my BB to my laptop and be able to read the email? Syncing seems to keep it in a transferable file that is not readable
If you have a webmail provider such as Yahoo! Mail, your e-mail is ON the server. All you need to do is login and check it from a computer.
There is no need to back it up.

it's not on one of those, company email from a previous job
You'll then have to login to it, forward it to another e-mail address.
If you can't do that, I don't know what else to say. Out of your control if it cannot be done.

You will want to be careful about that since it could pose legal problems depending on how you intend to use that information. What you might try to do is go into desktop manager and do a backup of the device and then see if you can find an email reader program matt can read it from the backup file.
