Does anyone else get tired of the remarkably unresponsive trackball of the Pearl 8130? I feel sure other models of pearls and Curves and probably even others have this problem too. I'm not talking about a greasy or broken or dirty trackball, I'm talking about the sensitivity of the thing internally. I know you can adjust it, but the way it's engineered it doesn't make contact in the right way. Trackball mouses went out of style for a reason, they were unresponsive, had moving parts, and got dirty. I don't want to totally trash the trackball, most of the time it works alright, but for fine movements in a hurry or scrolling down for a while, its just not cutting it.

    Feel me?

yeah, it is frustrating, especially when you need something in a hurry and want to zip right to it. That's when I usually get all of the jumping around, won't go where I want it to attitude. Causal use is okay and I am more tolerant of it's inaccuracy.

Hit the spacebar for Page Down, shift + space for Page Up, T for Top of page, B for Bottom of page. Don't carry your BB in your pocket without a pouch or case, and it won't collect lint.

It just needs some care, is all. Mine is a year and a half old and works fine.

I did notice the 8130 doesn't respond as well as my 8330 even when it was brand new. That was part of the reason I got rid of it.

Agree fully pockets get it linty fast. I also pop it out periodically to clean it. My curve trackball works great; however I know some Pearl owners who suffer from poor operation.
