The company (Maritz)that is handling this is well known for promotional events as I have worked with them in the past. Shop BlackBerry explained to me that due to promo code going viral they will be filling the orders from a different warehouse not through Digital River.

That's a good question ! Either BlackBerry or whatever 3rd party messed up on this promotion. But whoever I second on Kudos to them for really stepping up.

Yes, that is what I was told. The only orders that may have an issue are device orders using the accessory promo code they were uncertain if those would be honored from what was explained to me.

My orders were not cancelled for a long time... so I wrote to the only address I could find: an email on the PayPal receipt.

A few days later, my Z30 and my Z10 orders were cancelled.

I wrote a honest reply: "I don't expect vendors to lose money, but if an order is cancelled, I think it's fair to get an email not just cancel the orders silently quietly: I expect more from Digital River."

I got a reply to the effect of "we're waiting for restocking after January 7th"

I said "but my order was cancelled: can you confirm that I will be getting these items?"

So the January 7th thing was news, I wonder if they'll show up.

The orders will be coming via Fedex and will be delivered to my door on Christmas eve!

Uh so I got a FedEx confirmation today. Now can someone please explain to me how the order got shipped without an address or payment? X_X I was messing around with the promo code to see which products it worked on but given it was the US website I just left it and I did get the order cancellation email so I thought eh no worries I wasn't even ordering.

Then today I got a shipment notification, totally weird. Shipment date is tomorrow, plus according to FedEx the package is right next door (Most cities in the GTA are in relatively close driving distance too). I'll update tomorrow.

If this does get shipped to my door the two million dollar questions would be 1) How did they get the address and 2) How do you process an order without any payment. Plus the bonus one 3) How many people did this happen to.

I got the email that most of us here did that our orders were canceled. A while after another email came out saying the order wasn't actually canceled and they are working to ship all orders by January 10 2014.

Findmyorderl.com won't have up to date info as Maritz (another co.) is now handling the promotion. That said, Maritz seems to communicate on a one-way basis so not sure what other info we can get out of them.
