Hello everyone. Here's my problem. I have a torch 9800 and am trying to reinstall 6.0.0.600 back onto it. I have BBSAK and have done a full backup and cleaning of my phone. I downloaded the latest software for AT&T from RIM to my computer. Now every time I've tried to load the software back on to the phone, it get's hung up at "net_rim_bb_phone_resource.com". I have already changed to a different USB port. And I've deleted the download and re-downloaded it as well.

I am finding no luck anywhere with anyone who can help me. Can someone help so I can get up and running again...

What computer are you using to install it from? I've heard of problems with DM and Windows XP and Vista.

Do you have the latest version of DM installed? If not, install the latest version.

Are you using a carrier specific OS to install? AT&T OS for an AT&T phone?

I'm using XP and I do have the latest DM software. Also, I downloaded the latest OS from AT&T as well.

But here is the bright side. I talked with RIM this morning after speaking with AT&T Tech Reps, and I finally got it working. The thing was that I had to use another computer to do it. The RIM Tech Rep and I seem to think that it may be a problem with the security software on my personal computer. And that was the reason for it not going through. I can't be for sure about that. But at one point, I would like to test it and find out if it's true.

Thank you for your response. It's nice to know as a blackberry user that there are other users out there that care when the s@#$ hit's the fan.

You're welcome. Using another computer was gonna be my next suggestion. Glad you got it working.
