Since I can't post new messages in the Tips forum, I'll post here.

Quite by accident, I discovered this morning that pressing Alt-Del deletes characters to the *right* of the cursor. Just a small discovery but it made me happy :-) Don't know how I missed this in all my previous BlackBerry experience!

the < is backspace, and the del (you need to alt to) is just like DEL on a real keyboard. :P

Sweet deal though, I learn alot of tricks i hadnt know from here.

Now if could just stop hitting alt when i hit a . on this keyboard...

On a similar note, I hope everybody picked up that while writing an email address, you can simply hit the spacebar to put the @ and . in?

in the URL field of the browsers, the spacebar puts in a 'dot' and shift-spacebar puts in a /

    Go forth.

LOL - yeah it seems pretty clear now - every other key's symbols are interpreted as the "upper" symbol associated with ALT. Why not the "<" as destructive backspace and DEL as associated with the ALT key? It just never crossed my mind and I never noticed in the manual! Do you think an old dog can learn new tricks?

I'm a Mac user. I've lived without a DEL key for a long time. I don't think I would have noticed. Thanks! ^_^
