I would agree, and I would take the official BlackBerry live blog/stream over anything.

However, this is the first official announcement of a "live blog"

I think this is good precisley because it is not from a tech blog. The majority of customers that RIM is trying to keep/win back/attract aren't tech oriented or know much about tech bloggers. RIM has to sell to the so called 'layman' and they are more likely to read something from TIME. The true sell will be for RIM to effectively demonstrate the technical prowess of BB10 in a language that the layman can understand and appreciate.
