I can't decide how large of a memory card I need, I am TIRED OF losing my messages because I have more than a couple pics in my phone - I have a BB pearl - I had to delete the Facebook App to have room on my phone for my call log!!
Sandisk 6gb class 4. Works awesome. Make sure you get a class 4 or class 6 (generally class 6 usually isn't worth the price increase). Most of the larger cards I don't think they make class 2 anymore.
Am I the only one that has cheap friends that want my old card every time I upgrade? When I got my 8 this friend of my wife asked if they could have my 2. I said no because I planned on giving it to her. The next question was would I give away her 1GB. I was like he l l no, that's going in the razr I use for voice, buy your own. lol.

I know a lot of people that have a bunch of free time like me(2 hour bus ride to work) put movies on there MP3 players. That's what I'm looking into doing. I'm just waiting for the price on 16GB to come down because I don't like swapping cards much.
As has been said, the supported size of the card is OS version dependent. Go to Options, About and read the 3rd line down to see you current OS version.
Now look at this chart and read off the highest Media Card size that your phone can currently support.

crackberry momma, you may be able to get back some extra memory by doing this.
Go to Options, Advanced Options, Applications and scroll down to the BlackBerry Sample Video. Press Menu and select Delete. You just got 2Mb memory back. Check the Options, Status and the File Free number. It should be getting bigger.
