With all that's going on with BlackBerry and how do you all feel about the founding fathers coming back to run the company. I'm sure they have had a different outlook on things looking in from the outside. I'm feel they should (at least one of them) come back and Chen should leave.

What are your thoughts on this?

I think there's another company out there that doesn't ever want to see him again.

When it comes to the founding fathers, I don't think a lack of vision, complacency, not listening to what the consumer asked for and bad timing when it came to delivering new products are good business traits in todays high paced market.

Mike and Jim need to stay where they are today. The market changed around them and they did nothing about it but stay too long with a platform they knew was unsustainable.

They are both very smart people, but they're part of a different Era in the mobile world.

Anything can happen. Look at Apple, they forced Steve Jobs out, twelve years later he was back in control of a sinking ship and the rest they say is history.

But while Jobs was out he grew Pixar from a small business into a multi-billion dollar company, and started a computer company which built the predecessor of Mac OS X and iOS. He brought much of that talent with him when he came back along with a new OS for Apple. He also matured quite a bit in those years.

What have Jim and Mike been up to lately?

    My thoughts are:
    1. BlackBerry board of directors, of which Chen is Chairman, do not want Mike or Jim back.
    2. BlackBerry board of directors, of which Chen is Chairman, do not get business strategies from reading Crackberry.

Not only that, but Mike and Jim were in charge for much of the company's decline, so there would need to be a particularly compelling reason to think they could fix things. I'm not sure what that could possibly be.

No turn around under Chen. He's setting up BlackBerry to be sold off to the highest bidder. Bring back Mike & Jim and take BB private.

I'm sure Mike & Jim have learned from the past. They sure wouldn't have been making any android devices. That's not what BlackBerry is supposed to be about. Chen is dismantling BB.

Mike and Jim are the ones that put BlackBerry in this position....

Go private? BlackBerry's problem isn't investors and market analyst, it's that they don't have products that enough people are willing to buy. And at this point they don't have the marketshare, the talent, or the reputation that would allow them to compete.

Mike and Jim were smart guys back in the 90's, but technology changes. I still can't believe that BlackBerry wasn't working on a replacement OS even before iOS and Android were announced. BBOS just wasn't up to the task...

So unless you're thinking that smart pagers are about to make a comeback...

I'm sure that they have learned, which is why they're not on the board of directors. Would you rather have a company that sells Android phones or no company and no phones?
