I just bought a 4G thunderbolt recently and its really a piece of garbage. Makes me remember the good times I had with a blackberry pearl. Dont get me wrong, the bolt has the best browser and internet speeds hands down but thats about it. cant go back to a 3g phone since I have a 4g sim chip. any ideas when verizon will release a 4g blackberry?

There are no ideas now. RIM has not announced the manufacture of any 4G devices yet for any carriers.

You could back to a 3G phone just fine and save the 4G SIM card for later. CDMA 3G phones don't require a SIM card, so that's kind of moot for the time being. Get yourself a decent used device off Craigslist, and save an upgrade for later.

I'd save the upgrade for later.

And never get an HTC device. They all have crappy battery life. I have seen no exception thus far.

4G is very overrated right now, IMO :P

The next best thing is the Bold Touch with HSPA+ compatibility, but obviously you'll have to change carriers to take advantage of that.
