i upgraded my 8310 from 4.2 to 4.5. even though i had a camcorder after the download my blackberry acted like crap. is there any way to just download the camcorder and not have to upgrade to 4.5?
As it happens, I have experimented with cobbling a custom OS by trying to include a Pearl video recorder in a Curve package. It failed, leaving me with an error message and a dead device. Turning lemons into lemonaid, I documented the experience in "How to recover a Dead BlackBerry".
Clearly, there were dependencies that I am not aware of.
