The comments are funny :-). I'm glad that the Bold is getting a second lease on life, until Blackberry sorts out the hardware and UI enhancements needed to make the Q20 appeal to the traditional Blackberry user base. That will be the moment of truth. If uptake on the Q20 is slow, the handset business would be tough to rescue.

Along with the original iPhone and possibly the iPhone 4S, I'd include the Bold 9900 in the short list of the finest smartphones ever made.

I agree the bold 9900 series was a excellent device and a phone I still use for work along with my Q10. The 9900 is one of my favorites.

That's good. I never had a bold but friends who had it loved it.

I never owned a Bold but I have seen it and tried it out before. Didn't like it because the touchscreen was pretty pointless. It was hard to use the touchscreen due to it's size so you were pretty much forced to use the trackpad. Actually didn't like the keyboard either and preferred the Curve keyboard.

I currently use a 9360 Curve for work and a Z10 for my personal.

Still waiting for a high end full touch from BlackBerry. And when I say high end, I mean HIGH end. Z30 is mid end in my books. A phone that size I'd expect an even BIGGER battery.

Jesus how big a battery do you need? My z30 rarely needs a charging. Anything past 18 hours of heavy use is just bragging rights if you ask me.

The article is alright, thanks for sharing. BB has to figure a way to keep the Bold name alive, and I'm not necessarily saying on BBOS, the Q20 could be the new Bold instead.

I loved my Bold. Was so sad to sell it when I upgraded to the Z10. Was just on Ebay looking at used ones. Hmmmm..

    Loving my Zed 10!!
