What does the 'relative' refer to?

If you select 'Relative' ... you'll be presented with a submenu where you can choose smaller time increments for the reminder.
15 min, 30 min, 1 hr., etc...

Yeah.... but what does this do? If I set :
reminder to relative
then select 1 day
my recurrence is Daily
So I am hoping it will remind me everyday! And if it does what time would it? The time that the due date is set to?
Is that what this does?

Relative will alert you X mins before it is due. By default, tasks have a 5PM due time.

Recurring events will mark teh currnt task as completed and create an exact duplicate for the next occurance including alarms.
