Went in to fido today, the rep saw I had a passport and started chatting to me about BlackBerry. Asked me how I liked the passport etc. He then told me he knew a guy who work at BlackBerry and the guy showed him the new BlackBerry phone, which he said was like the torch. Upon further questioning, he confirmed it was a slider, and is a very light device. He said it was android, but looked totally like BlackBerry. I asked him if the edges were curved and he confirmed that as well. Lastly, I asked him about price point, he said about $500? But I dont know how accurate this is.

This is the same reason I simply call BS
With JC as CEO BB has been super hush about devices, so i doubt some lowly sales person has really seen the device
From what we gather, the most possible scenario is the new slider will feature the QNX hypervisor dual booting BB10 and android intertwined as 1 OS. However, this is purely speculation as well. As for hardware, i think there are "leaked" specifications, but i would trust it with a grain of salt.
I knew a guy who actually worked at BB and said he saw the Z3 LTE in 2013 July.......... said it was going to be released in September........ I called BS and I was right. Turns out he saw a Z3 with a "4G" option which like the Z10 STL100-1 can show up randomly. Entry level BB employees wouldn't see the Slider as we call it until about 1.5 months before release when it goes to carriers for testing

The Passport wasn't running Android, so given the tiny BB10 audience (i.e. The only people that would even consider it), it probably did sell well considering how different it was.

BlackBerry allready mention that the phone was coming out with BB10 and there is no evidence that it comes out with Android.
